This helps companies and governments control and reduce what the world spends on carbon with auditable cryptographic evidence, not spreadsheet estimates. Three active laws now require this proof: EU AI Act Article 53 (operational transparency for generative AI), California SB-253 (mandatory Scope 1+2+3 disclosure starting November 2026 for $1B+ revenue companies), and California AB 2013 (training data transparency). We measure the data-center energy the AI you use is spending right now, layered on top of the carbon your own phone burns.
